19th - 21st November
This collaborative performance brings together Year 4 pupils from Arundel Court Primary School and Young Creatives, blending a genre of dance forms that will celebrate cultural diversity and creative expression. Beginning at opposite ends of Victoria Park, the theatrical journey follows the passing of light between performers, symbolising connection, shared experiences and the richness of our differences.
Inspired by birds in flight, the children will create a travelling pathway towards the main stage, celebrating how different cultures and generations can come together through movement, storytelling and the universal language of dance.
Pamodzi Creatives is a community focused organisation, promoting equality, diversity and challenging discrimination.
Pamodzi Creatives is a community-focused organisation that uses creativity, storytelling and cultural engagement to celebrate inspirational stories, promote equality, celebrate diversity and challenge discrimination.
At the heart of our work is the question Who Inspires You? Through cross-cultural community storytelling events, the Pamodzi Inspirational Women of Portsmouth Awards, creative programmes, and educational activities, we uncover and celebrate inspirational stories that connect people, challenge perceptions and strengthen community cohesion.
Collaboration is at the heart of our approach. We work closely with Portsmouth City Council, local schools, community organisations, cultural partners and individuals who share our commitment to creating positive social change. By bringing people together through creativity, culture and storytelling, we help strengthen communities, celebrate local role models and raise aspirations for young people across the city. We believe that everyone has a story worth telling and that by sharing inspirational experiences, we can build confidence, foster belonging and inspire individuals to realise their potential and make a positive contribution to society.
